8/9/07 Drawing with Dots

This is a finished drawing, as a design for a painting. The dots study is a way to work out some issues with rendering dots manually vs. using a grid. The dots will come out uneven, so I have determined that it is better to have the dots be significantly offset from each other, so that even though they are in a pseduo-grid, the viewer’s brain doesn’t try to force them to be in straight lines and get cognitive dissonance from a slight offset.
