Antique Lap Desk DIY

If you want to make your own lap desk, I highly recommend one of the following dimensions. Listed below are the specs of my grandfather’s lap desk, which transforms a 3/8″ piece of plywood and a chair with arms into a very functional desk, much more so than even the best kidney bean lap desks I’ve used. It’s best asset is that it doesn’t have an attached pillow, making it much easier to store vertically.

units: inches

a: 20     b:11     c:17     d:5.5     e:35     f: 3.5 radius   g:2 radius  h: 1 diameter (expand as needed for cables, use to carry with thumb)
